Join our Committee of Management to help enrich the community

Nominations are now being sought for community-minded professionals or passionate doers to be part of the guiding group at Canning Agricultural, Horticultural & Recreational Society Inc (CAHRS) as one of our esteemed Committee of Management team.

We are looking for skilled volunteers of all ages and backgrounds who care about the objectives of our not-for-profit organisation CAHRS and have a desire to contribute to the future directions of the Canning Show and the soon-to-expand Cannington Exhibition Centre & Showgrounds (CECS), plus advise, shape or even play active roles in our various activities, events, classes, workshops and programs to enrich the community.

The Committee generally meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 6pm at CECS.

People with experience in volunteer-focused organisations, marketing, events, accounting, strategic planning or business will be very highly regarded.

To successfully nominate as a Committee of Management candidate, by Thursday 16 March you must;
A)  Either already be a CAHRS member or submit your application to become one
B)  Lodge your nomination form with the CEO

AGM & Membership

If you would like to attend the AGM, this also applies – you need to submit your membership application by 16 March, which will also give you voting rights if there are more candidate nominations than seats for the Committee Of Management.

The AGM will be held at Cannington Exhibition Centre at 7pm on Thursday 13 April, with more info announced soon.
