Oreo Mug Cake

This Oreo Mug Cake is the dessert you’ve been dreaming of: it is unbelievably easy to make, takes only one mug and 5 minutes to come together, and tastes divine. It is chocolate heaven – rich, moist, and bursting with the yummy chocolate flavour. 

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 6 Oreos
  • 2 tsp oil
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • ⅓ tsp baking powder
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • Optional but strongly recommended: chocolate chips and Oreos for serving

Method:

  1. Use a microwave safe mug
  2. Add the milk and Oreos, and use a fork to crush the Oreos fully until the mixture resembles a paste of sorts
  3. Add the oil, vanilla and sugar, and use the same fork to stir until combined
  4. Lastly, sift in the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Use the fork to gently mix until just combined, taking care not to overmix
  5. Microwave on high for 60-90 seconds until the cake is fully cooked
  6. While still warm, sprinkle over chocolate chips so they melt from the heat of the cake. Spread the chocolate, and top off with crushed Oreos
  7. Serve and enjoy!
