Courses & Classes

We offer hands-on, beginner-friendly and intermediate-level sewing classes and crochet courses at the Showgrounds!.

Our popular Sew Good sewing course is a 10-week program designed for both beginners and those with some experience. Taught by expert instructor Lynn Burton, students gain practical skills in hand and machine sewing, and walk away with completed projects like tote bags, zipper pouches, and garments. Beginners and dressmaking pathways available.

Hey Hey, Let’s Crochet! is a fun and relaxing 10-week crochet course for all skill levels. Learn essential crochet techniques, patterns, and stitches, or explore more advanced skills like amigurumi, mosaic crochet, and surface embellishments. Facilitated by long-time crochet teacher Pauline Greaves, this course is perfect for creative hobbyists looking to build confidence and make new friends.
