Celebrating Our Heritage & Looking Forward: 2026 AGM Recap

Thank you to everyone who attended our 2026 Annual General Meeting. We were thrilled to see such a strong turnout and a shared passion for the future of our community.

Honouring Decades of Service The evening was highlighted by several significant milestones within our leadership team:

  • Life Membership Awarded: Huge congratulations to Committee member Victoria Jones, who was granted Life Membership tonight. Victoria has generously given 20 years of her time to our Society, and we are honored to recognize her lasting impact.

  • A Grand Retirement: We shared a heartfelt thank you to Colin Dawkins, who is retiring from the Committee of Management. Colin has been a pillar of CAHRS for 38 years, and his contributions are immeasurable.

  • A Historic Presidency: We extended our deepest thanks to our outgoing President, Maxine Wylie. As our first female President, Maxine has led with incredible dedication and enthusiasm over the last five years. Her legacy of excellence has left a permanent mark on the Society.

Welcoming New Faces We are pleased to welcome Ben Haywood to the Committee of Management for the coming year. We look forward to the fresh perspective he will bring to our team.

What’s Next? The Committee of Management will meet next week to elect our new President. Stay tuned for the announcement!
