President’s Note | February

Hello to all our readers,

While the days a quickly passing us by, CAHRS Committee and Staff continue to work hard and think innovatively. There is a lot to be happy about, including new Special Interest Group classes already commenced and others in the pipeline.  We are working on an annual calendar of events, with special workshops, presentations and even some outside agency assistance to build the capacity of pastimes we can cover. This month we have an expert sharing some practical information about caring for roses, especially ways to eradicate Chili Thrip. Next month we dive into key camera functions on our phones to gain the best photographs to enter the Canning Show with. Join us for a social gathering with a purposeful but casual atmosphere on both these occasions. The Canning Show schedule is gathering momentum as we determine the 2026 details.

Our community people are the most important to our organisation and it is our aim to inspire and connect while creating the best possible experience available. You can expect to find out all sorts of information via our platforms so keep an eye out for something that may pique your interest.

Always remember I am available to assist with any query you may have.
